Garage48 continues it’s road in Tartu and paving the way to 5 new countries!

After short Summer break Garage48 continues its world famous hacking weekend. Lovely student city of Tartu in Estonia is the first on the road. Event takes place from the 26th to 28th of August 2011 at University of Tartu. Autumn will also bring new countries on Garage48’s map, including Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Russia and Sweden.
Garage48 Tartu will be a bit different as the format and concept of Garage48 is continuously evolving.

This time the event is focused on mobile apps and aims to find new ideas, put together great teams and push innovative solutions to the global market.

Dispite the focus all other ideas with a wider perspective are still welcome. So all web developers, programmers, marketing wizards and visionaries - we are waiting for you with open arms!

As a second new feature, hackaton in Tartu expects company teams to join. The event involving talents from different areas enable teams to find new members, get assistance from experienced mentors or just book the weekend for intensive work with inspiring crowd.

Teams formed on spot aim to realize ideas presented on Friday evening in 48 hours and deliver working service or prototype. Selection of the applicants and “no powerpoint” rule enables each teams to reach the aim. Because of the actual results Garage48 is well known also in other countries and gets invitations from Ecuador and Ukraine to Silicon Valley.

Garage48 also has a startup hub in Tallinn, Estonia. Popular meeting and co-working space for freelancers, enterpreneurs, startups and any other currently in town.
