Michael Jackson, ex Skyper and now Partner at Mangrove Capital Partners visits Garage48

We have a good news to share - former Head of Skype Operations and currently active VC Michael Jackson will visit Garage48 weekend in Tartu late August.
Michael worked with Skype from the rather beginning until the end of 2007. He was Head of Operations, responsible for all aspects of the revenue generating products. Now he is Partner at Mangrove Capital Partners, VC fund investing in early stage European tech companies.To the question, why he would consider visiting Garage48, where people attempt to bootstrap products over one single weekend, Michael answered: “Quite simply, because it is fun - and if I can contribute my experience in any way, that is a bonus.” He adds for the encouragement to all participants of the event: “The most popular ideas are often very simple - Free calling, Twitter, You Tube - even Google. Perfecting even these takes a long time, but the proof of concept can be achieved in just a weekend.”
We are very happy to have Michael sharing his invaluable experience to and advise participating teams on-site. We are looking forward to meet you all in Tartu in August, 27-29th!
