Projects developed @ Garage48 Riga 2011
November 19, 2011
25 ideas were pitched at SSE Riga University on Friday 18th of November, where Garage48 Riga 2011 Vol. #2 was kicked off. Many of the ideas were really well thought through and 13 of them got the needed team behind to be able to start development. The 6 member Jury announced the winner to be Mustache Ninja which connects real-life game with mobile application.
1Life, Rubylight, Skype, Seedcamp, draugiem.lv,
Makonix and Tele2 joined forces with Garage48 Foundation to hold the latest
Garage48 in Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, Latvia. With the main focus
on developing mobile apps, a weekend-long intensive event resulted in 13 new
prototypes.
„Riga has been the most international event of Garage48 so far,
having participants already from 10 different countries. They are solving interesting problems with a international approach. Success of Campalyst (from previous Riga hackathon), who got the investment
from Seedcamp, has given motivation for all the participant teams to strive for
bigger goals,“ says Ragnar Sass, co-founder of Garage48 and Pipedrive.com
