Simon Kaheru is a Communications Professional and new age media
enthusiast based in his home town of Kampala, Uganda. He started out in
journalism at a very early age and spent over fifteen years as a
journalist with leading media houses in Uganda and a number of global
publications, before going into Public Relations management. He has
worked with the Government of Uganda, and British American Tobacco.
Simon now works with SMS Media, a New Age Media and Mobile Phone Value
Add Services company with offices in Uganda, Rwanda and Zambia, and also
runs Media Analyst, a Communications firm in Uganda.

Michael is an IT Strategy and Management Lecturer and Consultant. He also doubles as the Head of Corporate Relations Office, Faculty of Computing and IT, Makerere University. Michael holds an MBA from MsM and ESAMI Business School. As an academic he is interested in areas of IT Strategy and Management, and ICT for Development. He is an Adjunct Lecturer with the ESAMI Business School. Michael is a consultant /trainer in a wide-range of areas in the both business and IT but specifically he is passionate about digital/cyberspace branding and visibility, IT Strategy and Management and IT optimization. Michael has a passion for inspiring the youth to unleash their potential and currently runs life skills and mentor seminars for university students as part of his social responsibility. Michael
recently participated in the HumanIPO48 Nairobi event as an online mentor and is currently providing
mentorship for the IPO48 Copenhagen Event.

Paul Bagyenda - mentor

Paul is a Computer Scientist by training and inclination. Educated at Princeton University and the University of Cambridge, Paul co-founded and has run Digital Solutions (
www.dsmagic.com) for the last 13 years. Digital Solutions builds and deploys Internet and Mobile applications, and has enjoyed a geographically wide usage of its products.
Paul also taught computer science at the Faculty of Computing, Makerere University for over ten years. He started and maintains two open source projects, and is a contributor to a number of others.
