Due to the invasion of Russia into Ukraine, we must postpone the hackathon at this time.
Our thoughts are with Ukraine and we stand with Ukraine in these extremely difficult times.

Location that is available for you 24/7, unlimited coffee and Coca-Cola, constant mentor support, pitch trainings — and here you are, presenting your progress to the jury in two days. That’s how Empowering Youth Kharkiv 2022 Hackathon from Garage48, YEP and the Estonian Development Cooperation works!
Since we started Garage48 hackathons in Ukraine in 2012, we have witnessed the inspiration, inner drive and talent of Ukrainian people to come up with creative new solutions, work hard & relentlessly in achieving their set goals and make the jumps into the unknown world of becoming an entrepreneur to improve the lives of themselves and others around them.
Clever new solutions, products & services re-design and collaboration is needed to relieve the socio-economic effects that the pandemic has brought along in Ukraine. Hackathons can be a really good tool for making those solutions & products happen and kickstart strong collaborations with a shared passion of solving these problems and facing the changed world better equipped.
WHO?
We are welcoming students, working specialists, visionaries and enthusiastic individuals from eastern Ukraine in the fields of
- software development and design
- marketing
- business development
- project management
and certain field experts, students or enthusiasts (e.g. transportation, medicine, social wellbeing, tourism, etc) with a vision and inner drive to create new solutions and novel products and services and use this hackathon as an opportunity to develop the first version of your idea into reality!
Just to be clear, this event is for everyone! We expect BOTH GENDERS with DIVERSE SKILL SETS! Synergy and diversity are vital for innovation and growth, which is why you are all invited to take part in this hackathon!

You can register for the hackathon as an individual or a team, with or without an idea until March 18th. Join us with an idea for an ICT solution or a novel service/product that improves our daily lives and supports the relief of the socio-economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine 🇺🇦.

Цілодобова локація з безлімітними кавою та колою, постійна менторська підтримка, тренінги з пітчингу — і за два дні ти з командою представляєш свій прогрес журі. Саме так працює Empowering Youth Kharkiv 2022 Hackathon від Garage48, YEP та Міністерства закордонних справ Естонії.
Ще з першого хакатону Garage48 в Україні у 2012 році ми захоплюємося внутрішнім драйвом та талантом українців генерувати креативні нові рішення, невпинно працювати та досягати цілей, занурюватися в ще незвіданий світ підприємництва для покращення свого життя та життів оточуючих.
Для подолання соціально-економічних наслідків пандемії Україна потребує розумних рішень та модернізацій продуктів та послуг. Хакатони є справді хорошим інструментом для появи таких рішень та сильних колаборацій, що спрямовані на спільне розв'язання проблем і зустріч з мінливим світом у всеозброєнні.
ДЛЯ КОГО?
Ми запрошуємо студентів, спеціалістів, візіонерів та активістів зі східної України у таких напрямках:
- розробка програмного забезпечення та дизайн
- маркетинг
- розвиток бізнесу
- управління проєктами
а також спеціалістів у певних сферах (наприклад, транспорт, медицина, соціальний добробут, туризм тощо) з внутрішнім стимулом створювати нові рішення, продукти та послуги — аби використати цей хакатон як можливість втілити свою ідею в реальність!
Якщо зовсім просто — подія доступна для всіх, без обмеження по гендеру чи попередньому досвіду. Синергія та різноманіття життєво необхідні для інновацій та росту, тому запрошуємо кожного й кожну стати частиною хакатону!

До 18 березня є можливість зареєструватися на хакатон як індивідуальний учасник чи командний гравець, з ідеєю чи без неї!
